Green Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Wedding centerpieces are the focal point of a reception -- after the newlyweds, of course. They provide interest and beauty for the guests as they take part in the celebration. Coordinating the centerpieces with the wedding colors and theme can be a challenge. Traditional floral centerpieces can be expensive and might not fit with a green color scheme.

Flowers are traditionally part of wedding centerpieces, and it's easy to find flowers in most wedding colors. Green is the exception. Hydrangeas are some of the few flowers that are actually green. They come in many shades and colors, from pink to green. Since they are rather large and round, a few hydrangeas in a vase can make a simple centerpiece. Or they can be combined with ferns and greenery to make a fuller centerpiece.
